1. What is a Martingale Collar?
Martingale Collars are also regularly referred to as Humane Choke collars. This type collar is designed to tighten but not strangle your hound. It is not a indefinite choke but is only intended to keep you dog safely in his/her collar. If correctly adjusted it will only tighten enough to prevent you hound from backing out of his/her collar. Sighthounds typically wear this style of collar because their heads are smaller that their necks but All Breeds of dogs can wear these collars.
We have many non Sighthound customers who prefer the Martingale collar style. Many dog owners prefer this collar type because it does not damage the fur and will not crush the trachea.

3. What methods of payment to you accept and what is PayPal?
Castle Hound Designs currently accepts payment for customers either by International Money order or PayPal through our Website shopping cart check out system.
PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an email address to securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account. If you make a purchase, and you are not a member of PayPal, a sign-up window will automatically open up for you and will help you with step by step instructions on how to sign up. 5. Do you sell to international customers?
Yes, we send to most International destinations via Canada Post International Air Mail or on request via UPS or FedEx
6. How fast will my order be shipped after I placed my order and what shipping options do I have?
All orders will be processed within 72 hours of your order being placed and your payment having been received.
We ship with Canada Post Air Mail or Expedited Mail or on special request via UPS or FedEx. Transit times may vary from 10 days up to 21 days; depending on whether the package gets delayed by customs.

8. Do you donate any of your merchandise to fundraisers for charities?
The main reason why I began to create Greyhound merchandise was in an effort to raise funds for The Wind Chimes Greyhound Rescue. Greyhound Rescue, animal welfare and environmentalism are subjects extremely close to my heart and for that reason Castle Hound Designs will donate a minimum or 20% of all net profits to benefit the hounds and will in addition make donations in the form of Collars, Leads, Dog Coats and Luxury Dog Accessories to fundraising raffles and auctions run by charities of all animal related welfare organizations and environmental awareness foundations and groups.
Naturally because of the large number of donation requests we receive on a regular basis, we simply can not fulfil all of them and donations will be awarded on a case by case basis.
9. Will your collars and coat’s fit other breeds than Greyhounds?
Even though Castle Hound Designs merchandise is primarily designed for Sighthounds it is not exclusively for Sighthounds. We cater to the ALL BREED market and are proud to offer our products in a wide array of sizes to meet the requirements of many breeds. We have made collars as small as for Chihuahuas and as large as Great Danes and Ahkitas. In fact a very large proportion of our customers have other classy canines such as: Weimeraner, Schnauzer, Boxer, Doberman, Rottweiler, Poodle, Chinese Crested, Miniature Pinscher, Dachshund to name but a few…
